a little update

i woke up startled this morning. my phone was ringing so loudly. i finally got a call from Veluz. she said that my piña cloth was already with her but she asked me if i wanted to have the scalloped neckline as originally planned. Ate Beth must have forgotten that part in our conversation. i told Veluz yes because that made the gown quite dainty. She said it would only take a few days to have it done.

other than that, she said she was going to "kill me." it seems like naparami daw yung burda. but in fairness, maganda naman daw sya. buti na lang!!! i was afraid she was going to say that i chose a pretty ugly design. may taste pa pala ako! :P anyways, she explained the "killing" part. this would definitely mean that her beadwork would also have to be as extensive. i don't know how it could be marami when i just told Ate Beth the same instructions that Veluz told me (i.e., hemline height, scatters, etc) and just picked out the design that we really liked. oh well, what's important is maganda sya and i suppose Veluz does not need to put on so much beads anymore as it may look overdone. i'll just cross my fingers and leave it to her very capable hands. can't wait to see it! :D

+++++

i got a few referrals for an HMU artist who will do our female entourage members' hair and make-up. the one who seemed to be quite responsive was Ate Tess of Tropicana (0927-374-8435). she charged only 5 grand for 8 people. this suffices only one part of our requirement -- the budget. but we have yet to see her work. tentatively, i have set an appointment with her for the trial HMU. she's going to do my sister and maid of honor, Rebecca. i hope she does good. i'll keep you posted.
