after two whole weeks of follow-ups and disappointments, my confirmation certificate was finally released to me yesterday. i am very relieved that it's already with me now. but still, i insist that their system really sucks.
not only that, the endorsement letter from our association president was also given to me last night after finally settling with them some dues that were left unpaid. armed with my endorsement letter, i finally got my barangay clearance from our barangay hall this morning in less than ten minutes. at least, that made up for lost time.
our remaining dilemma right now is that i cannot apply for our marriage license without Joseph physically present. we have consulted an attorney friend and some of his contacts about the process and they all advised us to just go through it as legal as possible because of the fact that Joseph is no longer a Filipino citizen. meaning, we have to apply for the license personally at the municipal hall on the 15th of August at the latest so we can still push through with the scheduled civil rites on the 26th.
we're just crossing our fingers now and hoping that Joseph's leave of absence of three weeks will be approved. other than this major hitch, all is now set and ready for the civil rites in August.
sana maayos na.
